Advanced Manufacturing Essential Skills - 1

Valuable Skills for Manufacturing Employment!

The purpose of this online and lab-based training is to provide individuals with essential manufacturing skills in; Safety Fundamentals, Mathematics for Technicians 1, Lock out / Tag out, Mechanical Fasteners, Hand Tools, Power Tools and Employability based on criteria set forth by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC).  Successful completion earns a Career Development Microcredential from 香港六合彩开奖记录. Also, see AMES-2. Courses can be taken separately or one after the other.

Course Outlines: 33 hours of Instruction - 26 hours online and 7 hours on campus lab

Students satisfactorily completing this course will be able to:

The course consists of seven online modules (33hrs) to be completed as a student鈥檚 schedule permits and 7 hours of scheduled lab time to complete final assessments.

Required Textbook and Materials: All safety materials and Intelitek (online learning platform) will be provided by the college.

Students will complete multiple online assessments while progressing through the material. Students are required to complete modules 1 (Employability) and 2 (Safety) before they are permitted to move to module 3. 
 
One one-hour and three two-hour labs on campus assess students in Lock out/Tag out procedures, Hand and Power Tools, and Mechanical Fasteners.
 
Grading Scale: The course is pass/fail. Students must earn a grade of 70 or better in all seven module quizzes as well as labs to pass the course. 

Career Development Badge - Advanced Manufacturing Essential Skills - 1

The microcredential purpose and goal is to provide an opportunity for students to enhance and extend their academic experience by earning microcredentials that verify, validate and attest that specific skills and/or competencies have been achieved.

Advanced Manufacturing Essentials Skills provide training that are responsive to the needs of the community, relevant to today鈥檚 changing marketplace and which provide pathways by seamlessly stacking into credentials, certificates and programs.
