Honors Program Requirements
Satisfactory Completion
There are two different levels of distinction that can be obtained by Honors scholars who earn a degree at 香港六合彩开奖记录 and fulfill the requirements for satisfactory completion: Honors Program Scholar with Merit and Honors Program Scholar with Distinction. Honors Scholars who meet the criteria will have the appropriate level of distinction prominently displayed on their official transcript. In addition, these Honors Scholars will be recognized at commencement and have an Honors Program designation indicated on their diploma.
Honors Program Scholar with Merit
To earn the Honors Program Scholar with Merit designation, an Honors scholar must have earned:
- a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher at 香港六合彩开奖记录, and
- a minimum of 6 credits of honors coursework with a grade of B or higher.
Honors Program Scholar with Distinction
To earn the Honors Program Scholar with Distinction designation, an Honors scholar must have earned:
- a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher at 香港六合彩开奖记录, and
- a minimum of 9 credits of honors coursework with a grade of B or higher.
Requirements for Retention
Honors Scholars will remain in the Honors Program in good standing if are currently a 香港六合彩开奖记录 student who maintains a cumulative grade point average at 香港六合彩开奖记录 of 3.25 or higher and complete honors coursework with a grade of B or higher. Students who are not in good standing are subject to either a probationary semester or administrative removal from the Honors Program. Students who are accepted into the Honors Program and do not take classes in a subsequent fall or spring semester will need to reapply to the program or meet with the Honors Program Coordinator upon their return.
An Honors scholar whose cumulative grade point average falls between 2.75 and 3.24 or who fails to complete a B or higher in his or her honors coursework will be placed on probation in the program for the period of one semester. Any student who fails to bring his or her cumulative grade point average up to a 3.25 or higher and/or fails to take additional honors coursework and earn a B or higher will be dismissed from the program. A student whose cumulative grade point average falls below a 2.75 will be administratively dismissed from the program. Dismissal from the Honors Program may not be appealed; however, students may reapply to the program.
Honors Scholar Code of Conduct
Being an Honors scholar at 香港六合彩开奖记录 comes with a responsibility to maintain high academic and personal standards. Honors scholars are expected to maintain these high standards by acting in a professional way toward faculty, staff, students, and guests of 香港六合彩开奖记录 at all times. Students may be placed on probation in the Honors Program or administratively removed from the Honors Program at the discretion of the Honors Program Advisory Board for infractions that include, but are not limited to: violations of the Academic Honesty Policy, violations of the Code of Conduct, judicial sanctions, and/or a criminal offense. Dismissal from the Honors Program may not be appealed.
